Poinsettia Tilda..

Hello my dear followers!

This card may come as a surprise to you as I'm usually not this early with my Christmas makes, but I'm guest designing on a challenge blog today and we were supposed to use our birthstone colour on our project..
I googled what mine was and it turns out it's Garnet..
Red.. Oh my..
Not my colour really..
But then I thought..
I love using red on my Christmas makes and I have that gorgeous Tilda waiting in the drawer..
And that's how I came up with this card..

Of course I had to have a play with some Maja Design papers..
I chose the I Wish Collection..
The card's base is made with a GoKreate die - the biggest one of the Large Frames Frilly #5..
The smaller frame frame under the snowflake is a Magnolia Doohickey from the Vintage Square set..

Here is my beloved Poinsettia Tilda from the Aspen Holidays Collection 2016..
I paired her with a sentiment from that same collection..
The name of that set is Dreaming of Ornament Kit..

The image is stamped with Archival Ink and I coloured her with Distress Inks..
I combine both, ink pads and reinkers..

I also used my sewing machine as you can see..
I always feel a project isn't really finished if I don't add a stitch or two..

Here are some close-ups..
I've used quite a few doilies, some cheesecloth, even some corrugated cardboard that I covered with Gesso to tone it down a bit..
There's a Bark Heart with a little WOC rose on top..
A gorgeous and very sparkly button, some lace..
And let's not forget the Snowflurry Background Doohickey..
I used it on the front and on the inside..
The top one consists of three layers.. It was a nasty job, I tell you, but I really wanted it to be sturdy so it won't break that easily..
The inside circles are made with Spellbinders dies..
One Standard Circle Large and a Petite Scalloped Circle Large..
The one on the back is from the Triple Tear set..
Just gorgeous..
There are lots of half-pearls on the front and back as well..

The dots around her are white Frantage embossing powder..
The layer behind the stamped image is made out of Bazzill Classic 12x12 Kraft..
My absolute favourite when it comes to kraft paper..
The snowflakes are cut out of Bazzill Cardstock as well.. That's the Bazzill Mono Canvas 12x12 in white..
Also a favourite of mine..

Well that's all.. For now..
I really hope you enjoyed your stay, got inspired and learned something new!
xoxo

Little Cute Tilda

Hey guys!

The flu got me..
It's that time of the year.. I know..
But I usually don't get these nasty things..
So.. This is how I look like these days..
I spend my days in my favourite onesie..
We don't have any snow here but it's pretty cold outside..
I checked the temperature on the balcony.. LOL!

I made a mini greeting card with one of my favourite images from the Waiting For Christmas Collection 2014..
She's called Little Cute Tilda..

I've used my Magnolia Vintage Squares for the card's base..
The papers are from Maja Design..
Here you can also see my beloved Tilda Tag with some Vintage Seam Binding on..

I thought the base paper was pretty plain so I've decided to use a Memory Box stencil and some texture paste and decorate it a bit.. I really love the final result..
All the flowers on this card are from WOC..

Here you can see a bit of the Old Swedish Lace die peeking out.. And my gorgeous lace Estelle..
I've added some cheesecloth under the flowers to fill in the gaps..

And how cute is this button??
I looove it..
I've added some Gesso here and there.. As always..
And some pearls..
Of course.. All the paper edges are distressed and machine sewn..

Here she is in all her beauty..
Cut out with my Spellbinders Ovals..

I've coloured her with Distress Inks..
Added some Stickles on some parts of the dress..
And all that stuff around her is Shabby White Frantage, self-adhesive half pearls and some Liquid Pearls..

Hope you enjoyed your stay.. LOL!

Hugs, Tina

Edwin With Derbyhat

Hey guys!

I have a confession..
I've been neglecting my Edwins for too long..
But you know what? Male cards are really not my thing..

A good friend of mine asked me to make a card for a gentleman who's celebrating his 60th Birthday..
She said: "..and no lace and no flowers!!!"..
Are you kidding me??

How am I gonna do that? LOL!

I had no choice..
Here's my card with Edwin With Derbyhat from the Little London Collection 2013..

Here are some more details..

The papers are from Pion Design and Maja Design..
My absolute favourites when talking about designer paper..
There's a doily and some cheesecloth.. I couldn't resist..
You can also see a light bulb charm and some corrugated cardboard painted with a bit of Gesso and Picket Fence Crackle Paint..

I really wanted to keep it simle so I used two super cute bronze buttons from my stash and some thin natural cord..
I've also added two brads on the corners of the image..
The postmarks are from Kort & Godt..
The paper edges are distressed and sewn..

The image is stamped with Archival Ink on 300g aquarel paper and coloured with Distress Inks..
I've only used a few colours this time:
Pumice Stone, Weathered Wood, Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Black Soot, Antique Linen and Old Paper..
The dots around the image are made with Chunky White Frantage..

So.. This is my creation for today..
Let me know what you think..

Hugs, Tina
